This is an ALL-MAIL Ballot election. There will be no polling places designated. 


Vote-by-mail ballots will be mailed out no later than October 6, 2025. 

Spanish Ballots: To request a Spanish facsimile ballot, please contact the Sierra County Clerk's Office.

Drop off your vote-by-mail ballot

County Elections Office, 100 Courthouse Square, Room 11, Downieville, CA 95936. Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning on October 6, 2025. 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. 

City of Loyalton Auditorium, 605 School Street, Loyalton, CA 96118. 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day ONLY.

REMEMBER TO RETURN YOUR VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOT TIMELY

Return your ballot by mail. Vote-by-Mail ballots will be counted if postmarked on or before Election Day and received by the Sierra County Clerk's Office no later than 7 days after Election Day. To ensure your vote-by-mail ballot is received timely by the Election’s Office, please refer to the last date and time to mail and request a postmark on your vote-by-mail ballot at your local Post Office.

Accessible Voting: The Sierra County Clerk’s Office aims to make the voting process accessible for all voters, with accommodation such as curbside voting, accessible ballot marking devices, and Remote Accessible Vote by Mail.

For the November 4, 2025, Statewide Special Election, all registered voters in California are eligible to use the accessible vote-by-mail system to view the Voter Information Pamphlet and also mark and download their vote-by-mail ballot from the convenience of their own home and return it by mail.

The Sierra County Clerk’s office is equipped with an accessible ballot marking device that enables all voters, including those with disabilities, to mark their ballots privately and independently. The accessible ballot marking device includes an audio ballot reader and accommodates adaptive devices such as a sip-and-puff.
